The Green Elephant strives to be an active member in our Community and aids the development of personal skills and programs.
We actively have supported in the past and continue to support :
- Obswatch neighbourhood safety program - Member since foundation
- Fountain House - Program to help mentally challenged people get into mainstream employment
- The Carpenters Shop - A day care centre for the rehabilitation of street people - Cape Town
- The Haven night shelter - for mainly adult street people
- SANCCOB - Rescue and rehabilitation of oiled sea birds - especially penguins
- Woodside Sanctuary for severely mentally disabled children
- Ons Plek - for young girl street children - Woodstock

The Green Elephant Education Programs Education is the key to our future and any organisation not involved in educating its staff and their families will lose out in the development of its people.
We currently are helping with the following education :
- Rina -Secretarial College;
- Sophia - Masincedane Training Centre;
- Wendy - junior school;
- Fatima - high school;
- Solomon - junior school.
- Pat has completed a Cooking course.
- Mavis has completed a sewing course.
- Carne is currently learning to drive.
