Groups

We are an ideal Hostel for group sizes ranging from 6 to 18 members and have hosted many School groups and visiting Sports teams.

Because we have dormitory and private rooms, we can accommodate accompanying parents/drivers/teachers in our private rooms.

As we have staff on duty 24/7, we can also cater for early morning breakfasts when teams have to leave the hostel early for matches.

Being in Observatory, we are close to Harleyvale Hockey Stadium and the University of Cape Town sports facilities.

Observatory also has its own 25 metre open public swimming pool and Newlands Pool ( which is 50 metres long) and the Sports Science Institute are a 15 minute train or bus ride away.

You can self cater in our fully equiped kitchen with supermarkets within walking distance or we can cater for you or a combination.

We offer groups a hot buffet breakfast at R35 a head and eat as much as you like fresh Pizza's made in our own Pizza oven and Braai nights (Chicken, Boerewors, Pap and Salads) for R50 a head.
